Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Calculist, the calculator application platform and related services made available at calculist.ai (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
1. Agreement and eligibility
You must be legally able to enter a contract in your jurisdiction. Access is often by invitation or as arranged with your organization. You must provide accurate registration information and keep your account credentials confidential.
2. Description of the Service
Calculist provides tools to build, run, and share interactive calculator-style apps, including optional features such as AI-assisted creation or a visual builder when enabled for your account or organization. Features may change over time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
3. Accounts, passwords, and acceptable use
You are responsible for activity under your account. You must not misuse the Service, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfere with other users, overload systems, reverse engineer except where permitted by law, or use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes. We may suspend or terminate access for violations or risk to the Service or others.
4. User content and app models
You retain ownership of content and configurations you submit or create in the Service, subject to your agreements with your employer or organization where applicable. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. You represent that you have the rights needed to provide such content.
5. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Calculist is a software tool; outputs and calculations are not professional, financial, legal, or engineering advice unless separately agreed in writing with qualified professionals.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER CALCULIST NOR ITS SUPPLIERS WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED CURRENCY UNITS (OR LOCAL EQUIVALENT), UNLESS MANDATORY LAW PROVIDES OTHERWISE.
6. Termination and suspension
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the Service (with reasonable notice where practicable). Provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations, and intellectual property) will survive termination.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer or local laws require otherwise.
Operators deploying this Service should confirm governing law and venue with qualified counsel; the placeholder above may be updated to match your legal entity and jurisdiction.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may modify these Terms by posting an updated version and changing the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance where permitted by law.
9. Privacy and contact
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. For questions about these Terms: info@calculist.ai · Contact.
